OoT Randomizer is a Windows utility for creating custom versions of the popular The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time console game. Users can modify original ROM files to randomize the locations of important items for a more dynamic and unusual experience.

The Ocarina of Time part was released in 1998 and introduced a 3D open world, a dynamic time system and a captivating story. Players praised the game for its graphics, music and various innovations. OoT Randomizer is intended for modifying the gameplay experience and creating new challenges.

You can play various Zelda games on a desktop computer using Project64 or another similar emulator.

How it works

The first step is to import the original ROM file. After that you can switch to the Main Rules tab and select one of the available presets. Alternatively, it is possible to manually configure every small detail.

Users are able to exclude certain locations from modification in the Detailed Logic tab. The starting inventory is adjustable as well. New mods are created by clicking the Generate button at the bottom of the main window.

It is worth noting that every modification is fully playable and can be completed without using any glitches or cheats.
