MPC Beats is a Windows utility for creating and mixing audio tracks. There is a massive included library of loops, musical instruments and sound samples. The main interface resembles the layout of popular physical MPC controllers.

Main functionality

The program offers users four modes: Song, Program, Sample Edit and Mixer. Each option has its own set of internal tools and panels for audio manipulations. Users can quickly switch between modes with keyboard shortcuts or by clicking on the icons at the top of the screen. The interface is scalable and fully customizable.

Sound library

There is a large collection of samples, musical instruments and loops. A wide variety of genres and styles is represented. You can drag and drop required fragments from the left side of the screen to the main workspace. It is possible to expand the library with additional MPC add-ons that are available for purchase on the official website.

Sampling

Like in MASCHINE, users are able to record and edit custom samples with the help of the microphone or another external audio device. Tools for trimming, normalizing, reversing, pitch-shifting and applying effects to custom segments are provided as well.
