MaxiVista is a Windows tool for expanding the desktop to a second PC over the network. It does not require any additional hardware to work. Please note that the overall performance may be affected by slow connection speeds.

Setup

The downloaded package contains executable files for both the primary and secondary computers. You can install them to the corresponding machines to automatically establish a connection.

It is important to mention that the free trial version of MaxiVista will expire 14 days after activation. Other applications with similar capabilities such as Air Display are available for download.

Display configuration

Users can rotate the second screen vertically or horizontally, tailoring the layout to specific workspace requirements. Additionally, there are instruments for synchronizing desktop resolutions between both monitors.

The Settings menu lets you adjust the image compression level. This is helpful for accommodating poor network conditions and preventing lags. Moreover, an option to manually tune the brightness, contrast and gamma on the second screen to match the primary display is included.
