MapReverseConverter is a Windows app for transforming internal map data in Garmin GPS devices to a newer file format. This is helpful for transferring custom points of interest and other personal information to another device.

How it works

After starting the software users can select the file that contains the source map. It is necessary to specify the target directory as well.

You are able to include new POIs into the project. Moreover, there is an option to correct the spelling in foreign city names. Region codes are automatically translated into clear descriptions, enhancing the overall spatial awareness.

Tools for extracting specific map features like roads, waterways and elevation data are included. Resulting information can be utilized for various purposes like environmental assessments or route planning.

Other solutions for working with Garmin devices such as GARMIN Express are available for download.

Compatibility

There is support for a wide range of GPS navigator models made by Garmin. A checkbox for excluding the TYP file from the final map package to resolve internal conflicts with the nRoute mobile app is provided as well.
