Mandelbulb 3D is an advanced program for Windows that enables you to simulate an infinitely complex and naturally occurring fractal object in a three-dimensional environment. What is more, you have the possibility to generate stunning images with personalized light, color, depth-of-field, glow effects and more.

General notes

The application does not require installation. This means you are able to start using it as soon as you extract the contents of the archive into the folder of your choice. Upon launch, the software solution provides you with an already made model of the notorious Mandelbulb. Alternatively, you may begin creating your own fractal from scratch.

Advantages

One of the main highlights of the utility stems from a wide range of features for customizing the design. Basically, you can specify the formula that you want to calculate, the appropriate values for the 3D bulb being designed and the number of thread counts. Moreover, you have the ability to toggle clipping planes or activate the Julia mode.

Powerful instruments

It is worth noting that the tool comes with several post-processing instruments. These allow you to recalculate sections, include additional drawings, enhance the image with hard and ambient shadows or edit the reflection.

Last but not least, you are able to access the animation maker where you may tweak the keyframes from the parameters you have calculated previously. If you want to construct any mathematical formulas and equations, you may use another program called Mathcad.
