Linkbar is a Windows software designed to bring an additional layer of organization to the desktop environment. It lets you configure multiple separate interface panels containing shortcuts to frequently accessed locations, programs and even individual files. The default icon size and text position can be changed to suit personal preferences.

Shortcut bars

Users can set up as many panels as they need, each one related to different activities. There are instruments to independently reposition new elements, creating a unique layout. Other interface customization solutions like TweakUI are available for download as well.

New items might be added to the bar through the right click menu. Moreover, you are able to manually rearrange icons by dragging and dropping them into the workspace. This is helpful when dealing with large amounts of links.

Visual parameters

It is easy to tweak the bar transparency level, making it more translucent or opaque. There are several predefined interface styles such as:

Light;
Dark;
Accent.

An option to adjust the background color is included. Additionally, users can tweak advanced font properties like character width and margins.
