Leica Application Suite is a professional Windows solution for working with advanced digital microscopes made by Leica. There is support for the DMS300 and DMS1000 systems with integrated cameras.

Image acquisition

After connecting the device to the computer via USB cable users can adjust the exposure, gain and gamma, enhancing image clarity. Additionally, it is possible to change the output resolution and live preview quality.

Captured photos are displayed in the Browse tab. You are able to view detailed information about the creation time, bit depth, frame dimensions and magnification level. Moreover, there is an option to add personal notes to any file.

Processing tools

Users can flip the picture horizontally or vertically to correctly orient all target objects. Tools for cropping the photo are included as well.

Similar to Plugable USB Microscope Software, there are sliders for fine tuning hue, saturation and color intensity. You are able to correct the brightness and contrast. This functionality is helpful for analyzing small objects in the sample. The program is capable of converting source pictures to grayscale mode as well.
