ISCapture is a program for Windows that primarily serves the purpose of image acquisition. It also provides picture information browsing and processing capabilities. Users can access camera settings and preview photos.

Initial setup

The first step is to double click the executable to start the installation. You can click the Next button and follow the instructions provided on the screen. Please note that a special driver is included in the package. This component is deployed by default.

If the device is connected correctly, the software will automatically recognize the camera and enter the preview mode. In case the initialization fails, you need to reinstall the corresponding driver manually. It is necessary to mention that the company no longer bundles this utility with their products.

Parameter settings

When it comes to configuring the camera, you have a wide range of options. For example, you can set Auto or Manual exposure. Regardless of the choice, you can observe the preview and adjust the lens to increase image focus.

It is also possible to change the capture resolution and correct white balance. Once you are done tweaking the settings, you can pick the output format for the image, specify the directory and the file name. To capture and process pictures taken with Leica microscopes, you may try a tool called LAS EZ.
