Hangouts is a Windows software for staying connected with friends and colleagues. It is possible to create and manage the list of contacts for easier search and navigation. Moreover, users are able to set different notification sounds and ringtones for individual groups.

Communication

You can enjoy high quality video and audio calls even in poor network conditions. There are instruments for screen sharing. This is helpful for troubleshooting remote computers, brainstorming new ideas together or presenting various types of digital content to a large audience.

An option to categorize contacts into custom groups is provided. Additionally, users are able to configure desktop notifications, staying on top of active conversations.

It is possible to exchange text messages, GIFs, emojis and animated stickers. There are tools for organizing group chats as well. Photos, videos and links can be shared among all participants to collaborate with colleagues and streamline the workflow.

Please note that Hangouts is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.

Advanced functions

Hangouts seamlessly integrates with Google Drive, allowing you to share files and documents directly from a chat. There is an option to draft text messages in offline mode and send them when the connection is restored.
