Handy recovery is a program for Windows that can restore files damaged by virus attacks, power failures and software errors. Data from deleted or formatted partitions can also be retrieved.

Use

This application is designed to restore data from computers running on Windows. If a program fails to use the Recycle Bin when deleting files, Handy Recovery can repair them. It also retrieves information after the bin has been cleaned.

The program searches files by name or type and displays the probability of successful recovery for each of them. It is possible to save the retrieved data on any disk in your system.

Basic functions

The utility provides data recovery from destroyed, deleted or reformatted system partitions. These files are usually not displayed in the standard ways – the manager or other programs. Handy Recovery is able to detect and retrieve them.

You can easily repair data from flash drives, compressed and encrypted files on NTFS. Moreover, the application supports quite rare file systems like HFS and HFS Plus.

The program easily creates an image of a hard disk or partition. This function is necessary to save the backup and restore it later. Normally, the image is burned to another hard disk or removable drive if its capacity allows it. Another helpful tool for managing USB devices is BootDiskUtility.
