Grbl Controller is a Windows utility for transferring data to CNC devices. It is possible to correctly position the head and adjust other advanced hardware settings. Axis control buttons for fine tuning are provided as well.

Connection parameters

Like in Universal Gcode Sender, users can select the port and baud rate for establishing a link with the machine. The operation progress and potential errors are displayed in the logging section at the bottom of the main interface.

Importing GCode

After connecting to the device you are able to choose a GCode file that includes step-by-step instructions for milling the object. It is possible to preview final results in the Visualizer tab. Axis control buttons are necessary for correctly positioning the machine before starting the task. You can select the step size and activate the spindles. Additionally, there is a checkbox for using absolute coordinates after adjusting.

Settings

This application allows users to configure timeout length and Z-Jog rate. Options for filtering file commands before sending and selectively reducing precision for excessively long lines are available.
