GeneScan is a specialized Windows NT program for analyzing fragment data from the ABI PRISM family of genetic instruments. It is flexible, easy to use, and incorporates features that enable rapid and accurate examination of research materials.

The software solution relies on advanced algorithms to automatically identify and size each peak relative to an internal size standard. It is also possible to visualize the graph area and height. The results can be imported and filtered via the Genotyper tool to obtain allele calls and automate table building.

It is worth pointing out that the utility is compatible with a limited range of scientific equipment. It is capable of performing fragment analysis on data from the ABI PRISM 310, 377, 3100, and 3700 automated DNA sequencers.

Analyze data samples

With the help of this application, you can automatically process information collected from each sample. Built-in flexibility options enable you to use the default analysis setting or create custom parameters for your project. To construct complex DNA sequences, you may try a program called Gene Designer.

Last but not least, the tool offers sophisticated display instruments to allow maximum flexibility in viewing data. You can examine overviews and detailed reports, compare samples, present information in a graphical and tabular format, etc. Please note that the software is no longer distributed.
