The robust utility was designed to help users execute various commands in Freelancer. Moreover, it is possible to kick, ban and message other players.
FLhook
FLhook is a community-built program for Windows that gives you the ability to manage Freelancer servers. The game is quite old, having been released by Microsoft in 2003. With the help of this tool, you can connect via a socket to run commands on and receive events from the server. This distribution comes with a special client for that matter. You may also use it to build web-based management interfaces, in-game chatbots, and more.
Console commands
To quickly execute commands, you need to bring up the console. By entering specific instructions here, you are able to get more money, kick and ban players, manage cargo, rename characters and more. Please note that this will only work when you own the appropriate rights. These may be set via the setadmin command.
In addition, the utility stores the information about each player in file with INI extension, located in your account directory. If you want to customize Freelancer maps, you may try another program called FL DataStorm.
Socket connection
It is necessary to mention that there are alternative ways to issue game and server commands. This means you can connect via a socket connection in raw text mode. In order to do that, you have to use the port number provided in the INI file and type in password. Once you are successfully logged in, you have the ability to input commands as though from the console. You may have several socket connections at the same time.
