FaceTrackNoIR is an application for Windows allowing the players to control the camera in games by turning their heads. Axis movements are tracked through the webcam. In this way, mouse movements are simulated.

Functionality

With this utility you can, for example, look around in games simply by turning your head in the right direction. It is as if you were wearing virtual reality glasses. The program supports several tracker engines and protocols. The VJoy driver is also installed during the software setup. It is needed to emulate the mouse where it is not supported. You may record videos of yourself playing with Future WinJoe app.

Configuring

After starting the program you will see a window with the basic settings. You can leave the default configuration. However, you may specify the engine, filters, protocol, etc. for more accurate tracking and transmitting. There is also an option to calibrate the axes, enable or disable inverting, align, specify the degree of smoothing, etc. You can also adjust sensitivity – that is, choose how much the view in the game will move when you turn your head.

Launching

To launch the program you have to press the Start button. It will detect the position of your head and display different parameters – coordinates, frames per second, etc. in real time.

Now you can minimize the program and run the game. All your head movements will be registered as mouse activity and you will be able to look around this way.
