Earthlink is a Windows software for configuring various parameters of dial up modems to establish a stable internet connection. Additionally, the integrated email client lets you communicate with other people. Please note that Earthlink is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. It is compatible only with Windows 95 and 98.

Network settings

After starting the application users can enter the access phone number via a digital dial pad and select the correct connection speed. The next step is to wait until the remote link is established. Moreover, there are flexible modem initialization properties and traffic compression protocols for optimizing the data transfer process.

You are able to view the current connection status, transfer rates and session duration. This information can be used for troubleshooting potential network issues.

Additional services

Earlier versions of Internet Explorer came pre configured with Earthlink parameters. This made seamless web browsing possible immediately after connecting to the internet.

There is a basic email client called Earthlink Mail. There are instruments for creating and managing multiple accounts to help users separate business and personal communications.
