dxcpl
dxcpl is a program for Windows intended to help you run modern games on computers with outdated graphics cards. In contrast to Smart Game Booster, the utility does not require installation, yet is capable of running in the background of other system processes.
Principle of operation
Unfortunately, most video games developed nowadays are not compatible with older video cards. Sometimes the GPU meets the minimum requirements, but does not feature support for DirectX 11, which leads to launch problems.
With the help of this tool, you can emulate the operation of the API utilized for the interaction of the operations system and graphics card drivers. dxcpl works in the background of other applications and automatically resolves issues that occur while playing various video games.
Configuration
After launching the software solution, you need to specify the path to the game’s executable file. It is possible to add multiple entries to the list. What is more, you can disable error notifications. In order to do this, you have to check the corresponding boxes in the Message Settings tab.
The program enables you to select the DirectX version to be emulated. Debugging mode is also available. After you have made all the desired changes to the parameters, you may click the Apply button to commit these modifications. If you want to test the gaming performance of your PC, you may use another utility called 3DMark Time Spy.
