Chicony USB 2 0 Camera is a Windows software that provides all system components that are required for the correct functioning of Chicony Gateway webcams. An application for adjusting the output resolution and other quality parameters is installed automatically.

Setup process

The package contains drivers for both 32 and 64 bit editions of the operating system. Users are instructed to select the correct version and run the corresponding executable file to install the program. It may be necessary to reboot the computer to apply the changes and integrate all system components.

Please note that Chicony USB 2 0 Camera is developed for Windows Vista. Compatibility with newer versions of the Microsoft OS is not guaranteed.

Camera Assistant

This module allows you to modify the output resolution as well as flip the image horizontally and vertically. There is an option to reduce the flicker effect by changing the framerate. Checkboxes for enabling night mode and backlight compensation are included as well.

Like in Dell Webcam Central, users can record the video output to a file. Flexible quality settings are available. Moreover, it is possible to capture audio from the microphone.
