Data sources and optimization

The Data Exchange features enables you to retrieve and store selected content from various external sources. These include AVEVA PI, OPC-HDA, ODBC compatible databases, Microsoft Excel, and custom deployed solutions.

The Optimization Tool is used to create, solve, and analyze optimization problems. By automatically seeking a local minimum or maximum of a defined objective function, it adjusts one or more specified variables. In addition, it integrates with the Data Exchange component.

Reactors and calculators

Several new updates have been made to the Hydrotreating and Hydrocracking reaction sets. These additions encompass deoxygenation for triglycerides, methanation, carboxylic acids, alcohol, and water gas shift. There is also carbon monoxide adsorption for modeling biofuel production processes.

Quick Specifier and Quick Solver options are designed to streamline the creation of Specifiers and Solvers focused on a single variable. The former establishes a linear relationship with the value, while the latter drives a variable to a specified setpoint. No scripting is required.
