Avaya Softconsole is a Windows utility for call center operators in large organizations. It allows users to forward calls, record personal details, put the line on hold, etc.
It is necessary to have Avaya Softconsole R1.5 to apply this update. After that users can run the executable file for installing the R1.5.3 version.
The program is intended to work in DCS and CAS environments.
A DCS configuration can include from 2 to 20 interconnected private call processing systems. Features like automatic circuit assurance, attendant call waiting and recording conversations are supported.
In the CAS environment users who are served by different systems at two or more locations can concentrate the operators in one place. This location is called CAS main, while the others serve as branches. The CAS environment allows calls to be answered and placed. Moreover, varying displays, audible alert tones and different dialing methods are available.
Abbreviated dialing provides a mechanism for storing Caller IDs that any operator can access. This reduces the number of keystrokes required for dialing and makes the process less prone to errors.
