Athan Basic is a Windows software that can help users to perform everyday Islamic rituals. There are tools for automatically playing the call to prayer at the predefined times of day. Moreover, several religious texts in multiple languages are included as well.

Main purpose

After starting the program you are prompted to select the location for identifying the current time zone. There is a large list of countries and cities to choose from. Alternatively, you can enter specific geographical coordinates. A checkbox for toggling daylight savings time is provided.

Similar to Auto Azan Player, the call to prayer will be announced automatically 6 times a day. Users are able to adjust every alarm to better fit the local conditions.

This application supports both the Hijri and Grigorian calendars. There is an included date converter. You can view tables with monthly prayer time schedules. Several Athan prayer text variations are included.

Parameters

Users are able to select one of the provided time calculation methods. Moreover, Dhuhr and Maghrib prayer alarms are customizable. It is possible to run the tool at system startup.
