Antares AutoTune is a flexible pitch and duration correction program for Windows designed to help musical artists process vocals. It provides a wide array of features, such as real-time tone adjustment, a low latency mode, and a customizable graphical interface to streamline the editing process. Please note that this tool comes in the form of a plugin for various DAW, including FL Studio and Ableton Live.

Principle of operation

In simple terms, the software takes an incoming monophonic signal and automatically corrects any wayward pitching within it, thus putting the singer in tune. It is possible to do this transparently or with sudden jumps, similar to artists like Cher and T-Pain.

The utility operates in either Auto or Graph mode. The first one allows for real-time repitching, while the latter is dedicated for detailed manual editing of pitch and timing. It is necessary to note that you may switch between two distinct views: Basic and Advanced.

Correct pitch

For quick and easy correction, it is recommended to use the Auto mode. You can choose a voice type, including Soprano, Tenor, Instrument and others. Then, you need to select the key and scale your repitching to target. Alternatively, you may insert the plugin into any track in your project to have it automatically detect these values. The results will be transmitted to all running instances of the application.
