With the help of this specialized application engineers can design, test and optimize various types of aerospace engines such as turbojets, turboprops and ramjets.
AEDsys
AEDsys is a Windows software oriented toward professional engineers. It allows you to simulate a wide range of aircraft engines and analyze their performance under different operating conditions. There are tools for performing parametric studies as well.
Analysis
Users can create up to 30 custom constraints by specifying the altitude, temperature, velocity, Mach number and fraction of maximum thrust. The next step is to define various mission parameters like takeoff acceleration, subsonic cruise duration, payload delivery time and fueling schedule.
It is possible to manually enter the wing loading value, acceleration, maximum lift coefficient and velocity limit to adjust the simulation according to project specifications.
Other programs for aerospace engineering such as WinFIOL are available for download.
Configuration
You can select the correct type of engine from the corresponding menu at the top of the main window. Available options include advanced turbojet, low bypass mixed turbofan and other common modifications.
There is support for a wide range of cargo, passenger and fighter jet engines. An option to switch between the Imperial and metric measurement units is provided.
