Zviewer is a Windows utility that allows users to view multiple video streams from Zmodo security cameras in a single window. Moreover, it is possible to access the list of previous motion detection events.

First steps

After starting the application you are prompted to add all network surveillance devices. The list of detected cameras contains IP addresses for all available appliances. Alternatively, you can manually search for new hardware by ID number. There is an option to enter personal credentials for accessing password-protected devices as well.

Recording

Like in SmartPSS, users are able to capture camera output to a standard video file. It is possible to customize the maximum clip duration and change the default target directory.

Some security devices support the Pan-Tilt-Zoom remote control technology. You can manipulate these cameras with the help of the on-screen buttons.

Event configuration

There are flexible motion detection parameters. Users are able to adjust the sensitivity and set custom active time periods. An option to automatically record short clips to the memory card for every security event is provided.
