YAMAHA XGworks is a Windows application for audio track sequencing. It is possible to convert voice recordings to musical tunes and add lyrics to the output file. Users can expand the main functionality by installing third-party plugins.

How to create songs

This software contains tools for working with multiple audio channels simultaneously. You are able to add basic instruments like drums, bass and synth to the track. Every note can be edited separately to better fit the rhythm.

Like in KOMPLETE KONTROL, there are options for transposing the sound to change its tonality. Moreover, users can adjust the speed, modify the gate time, shift clocks and sort the chords. Advanced quantizing parameters such as the strength, sensitivity and swing rate are available.

Included plugins

There are various tools for processing the audio. The AutoArranger component contains a library of accompaniment styles like hip-hop, rock, fusion and many other options. You can use the Importer instrument to add new MIDI or XWS files.

Users have access to the mixer for the Yamaha SW1000G synthesizer. There are multiple knobs and sliders for adjusting the sound. Plugins for other devices are available online.
