xVideoServiceThief is a Windows application that allows you to download your favorite clips from popular video sharing websites. It is also possible to convert files to a specified format.

Interface and functionality

The interface is clean and intuitive to use. The workspace displays name, size, progress, time and speed, as well as other statistics such as the video count. Additionally, there are dedicated buttons which you are able to use to manage your downloads. You have the option to start, pause and cancel the file transmission. It is also possible to specify the destination folder.

The software is also able to convert videos into a wide range of file formats that include AVI, WMV, MPG and MP4. Each comes with special settings for video resolution, output quality, frame and audio sampling rate.

Unfortunately, like the Ummy Video Downloader, the application does not come with full drag and drop support. This means you have to manually enter the link into the Add Video section.

Additional capabilities

It is worth noting that the program comes with plugin support. This gives you the ability to add newly developed websites. Furthermore, you can restrict downloads from adult Internet sites or other supported video sharing services. You may configure the blocked content and set up a password in the Options menu.
