Xdelta UI is a Windows software that contains instruments for patching ROM files. These packages are intended for emulating old console games in VisualBoyAdvance and other similar applications. Users can automatically account for shifted data to avoid rewriting copyrighted byte sections.

Interface

The main window consists of two tabs for creating and applying the patch. There are buttons for specifying the path to source and output files. Detailed usage instructions are located in the provided text document.

Please note that XdeltaUI utilizes xdelta 3.0u. If there is a new release, you can replace the executable file with an updated version and run the graphic user interface as usual.

Patching process

The first step is to select the original ROM file and create a patch. After that users are able to apply the update to the game. There are no size limitations. XdeltaUI can efficiently handle rebuilt filesystems and relocated data structures.

It is impossible to update wrong packages. An error message will be displayed if you try to do so. There is an option to associate patch files with the program for automatically opening them by double-clicking in Explorer.
