WSE is a specialized Windows component intended for securing the network. It allows you to reliably send and receive messages or files.

How to setup

It is required for NET Framework to be integrated in the system before installing this program. After accepting the license terms users can choose a setup type:

runtime;
administrator;
developer;
Visual Studio developer;
or custom.

The wizard will copy all the necessary components automatically. The last option lets you manually select the tools and samples to be installed.

Policy Advisor Tool

This included app examines the configuration files and highlights every typical security problem. Recommendations for resolving the issues are provided as well.

Protection parameters

Users can secure the communication with digital signatures and encryption instruments like Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism. Moreover, it is possible to efficiently send large amounts of data through intermediaries over the TCP/IP protocol.

There are several identity confirmation options as well as an included token system. Message signatures can be sent back to the client to indicate the correct request processing.

Please note that this program is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. It was replaced by a new utility called Windows Communication Foundation.
