Wordinn English to Urdu Dictionary is a Windows application for translating texts between the Urdu and English languages. Keyboard shortcuts for quickly accessing all main functions are available. It is possible to read detailed dictionary descriptions for any word. Moreover, there is a text-to-speech module for listening to the audio version of the text. The reading speed is adjustable.

How it works

After starting the program you can type in any English word to get the dictionary definition and use examples. The on-screen Urdu keyboard is provided as well. It allows you to enter Indian symbols without a corresponding physical input device.

Instruments for searching the images related to the query are included. Additionally, there is a Wikipedia tab for accessing the detailed information about any subject.

It is important to mention that all translation features require an uninterrupted internet connection. There are offline solutions like Cleantouch Urdu Dictionary.

Reading

A text-to-speech module is included. Users can select any voice installed in the operating system. There is a slider for speeding up or slowing down the playback. It is possible to pause or stop the reading by clicking on the corresponding buttons at the top of the main window.
