WordFlood is a Windows program that lets you edit any text. There is a powerful database of synonyms for English words and phrases included with the utility.

Interface

The main window is split into two parts. Empty field for entering the text is located at the bottom. The utility analyzes every sentence automatically. Words highlighted in blue can be replaced.

The list of synonyms is displayed in the top half of the window. By default there are nine columns with word variations. This number can be adjusted in the Preferences menu.

You are able to choose one of the provided replacement words by clicking on it. Related, but not completely synonymous options are listed below the horizontal divider line.

There are variations for over 140 000 words and phrases provided in the app. Moreover, it is possible to add custom synonyms to the database.

You can download Copy Cat to compare the text with other documents and find any plagiarized parts.

Included instruments

A word counter is located in the top center part of the main interface. It allows users to quickly estimate the length of an article. Additionally, there is an indicator that displays the percentage of modified text.

The program includes a keyword density calculation tool. It is designed to estimate frequency of use for every word in the document.
