WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is a Windows program for transferring DVD movies from discs to the computer. Conversion parameters like the quality, frame rate, aspect ratio and resolution are customizable. Moreover, users are able to configure advanced audio settings.

How it works

After starting the application you can insert the DVD into the optical drive and click the corresponding button in the main window to begin the ripping process. Alternatively, it is possible to select a previously saved ISO disc image from the hard drive.

The next step is to adjust the operation settings. Like in Aimersoft Video Converter, users are able to choose one of the predefined profiles for various screen sizes. There are options for Apple mobile devices, Android smartphones and BlackBerries. Additionally, web presets for sharing the results on YouTube, Facebook or Vimeo media platforms are included.

Video editor

You can trim imported clips. Tools for cropping the picture and manually adjusting the audio volume are provided. There is an option to add external text subtitles to the resulting movie as well.

It is important to mention that the free trial version of WinX DVD Ripper Platinum limits the output file duration to 5 minutes.
