This utility contains tools for creating DVD movies. You can convert MKV, AVI, MP4 and FLV files to the DVD-Video format and burn the results to an optical disc.
WinX DVD Author
WinX DVD Author is a Windows application that allows users to transform various video files to DVD movies that can be watched on any hardware player. It is possible to insert subtitles, change the aspect ratio and create beautiful chapter menus.
Editing instruments
After starting the program you can click the Video DVD Author icon to begin creating the movie from video clips. Additionally, there are buttons for compiling existing VOB files into the standard DVD-Video folder and burning the project to an optical media.
All major video formats are supported. Users are able to add new clips by dragging and dropping them into the workspace. A toggle for switching between the 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio values is provided. There are checkboxes for automatically adding the letterbox frame and creating the chapter menu.
You can trim the video and attach external subtitles. It is possible to add multiple clips and rearrange the contents in the timeline.
DVD menus
There are several visual templates for chapter selection screens. Users are able to insert a separate title menu. An option to import audio files and add them as background music is provided.
The final step is to record the project to a DVD. Similar to Nero, you can select the correct optical drive and adjust the writing speed. The disc label is customizable as well.
