WinUSB Maker is a Windows software for copying the operating system installation files to an external storage device. Users can select between the normal and fixed hardware detection modes.

Bootable drive creation

This application lets you copy the setup folder containing files necessary for the Windows installation to an external USB storage device. The resulting drive is made bootable automatically.

Similar to Easy USB Creator, users are instructed to choose the correct device from the drop-down menu in the main window. There are two detection modes: normal and fixed. The first option is intended for finding all USB Flash drives, while the second is for external HDDs.

The next step is to select the bootable disk type. Available options include setup folder, ISO image, GRLDR and DOS. Moreover, you can choose the output file system between NTFS and FAT32.

Finally, users are able to click the Make it Bootable button for starting the operation. Please note that all original files will be deleted from the storage device during the process.

Drive backup

It is possible to copy the data from the drive to the desktop in the form of a single archive. This functionality is helpful for quickly restoring the storage device to its original state after setting up the new operating system.
