WinplusX is a compact and unobtrusive program for Windows designed to enhance the user experience of older Microsoft OS versions like XP, Vista, and 7. It accomplishes this by integrating a Quick Access menu into the taskbar.
Improve UI
If the term Quick Access menu is unfamiliar to you, you might still be frequently using a similar feature on Windows 8 or 10. This interface component can be reached by right clicking the start button or via the Win+X keyboard shortcut.
The software does not need to be installed on a computer. You only have to deploy NET Framework 4.0 or a later version on your system to use it. The solution seamlessly embeds in your taskbar, adding a small icon.
Add and delete shortcuts
Upon launch, you can right click its logo or use the Win+X keyboard combo to access preset shortcuts for applications. This provides a quick method for running basic Windows utilities like Notepad, Registry Editor, Search, Windows Explorer, Control Panel, Task Manager, etc.
Furthermore, you can navigate to more advanced sections like Command Prompt, Computer Management, System, Network Connections, Event Viewer, and so on. By selecting the Options at the top, it is possible to add new shortcuts or remove existing ones.
