Wax is a Windows software for composing and modifying visual effects. It can be used in a standalone mode or as a plugin for several popular video editors.

Main functionality

It is possible to integrate this program into Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas and Pure Motion EditStudio. To do so, you are instructed to place the corresponding plugin files in the main directory of your graphics editor. Alternatively, Wax can be used separately as a standalone application.

The main interface contains a preview window, timeline and a section with available tools. Users can import media items into the project. Several popular video, audio and image file formats are supported.

Included instruments

The utility offers you a wide variety of filters, templates and transitions for making beautiful video effects. There are tools for rotating objects and creating light sources. Additionally, users can add particles to simulate water, smoke or fire. Loading 3D models from external files is possible as well.

A library of templates includes three-dimensional shapes, noise layers, colored backgrounds and other elements for building special effects. Moreover, standard DirectX plugins such as Blur, Chroma, Emboss, Glow, Scale and Shadow can be accessed from the main window.
