WavePad is a sound editing Windows application. You can remove the noise from the song, normalize the volume and save the finished file in several formats.

Basic functions

The main window offers users quick start links to begin the work. It is possible to open an existing audio track or record the microphone input. The tool for converting text to speech is included as well. Moreover, there is a CD ripper utility for loading the songs directly from a compact disc.

You can easily trim the audio by selecting the sections to delete. Splitting and joining the files is possible. There are instruments for normalizing and amplifying the volume. The included equalizer contains 20 frequency bands.

Several batch editing instruments are provided. Users are able to quickly convert multiple files to another format. The supported options are WAV, MP3, OGG, FLAC, AAC and all other popular audio containers. The music can be further modified in Adobe Audition.

Filters and effects

This software offers you a range of options for editing the sound. It is possible to add a reverb effect as well as change the pitch and speed of the audio. There are filters for reducing or isolating the vocals and adjusting the dynamic range of the song.

Users are able to auto-tune the music and add the acoustic effects. The sliders for tuning the frequency modulation and depth are provided. There is a filter for transforming the audio into a 5.1 or 7.1 surround format. Flexible automatic gain control options are included as well.
