VituixCAD is a loudspeaker simulation program for Windows that emulates the device behavior in full or half space. Emphasis is put on power and polar responses, as well as directivity index. It is also possible to design a speaker model without exhaustive angled measurements. However, the developers do not recommend this.

Overview

The software distribution gives you access to everything you need to design and emulate a loudspeaker system. Besides crossover, there are also enclosure and diffraction simulators, along with a response tracker, merger and calculator, FFT tool is included as well. If you want to simply activate surround sound virtualization in video games, you may try another app called Razer Surround Sound.

Design and simulation

In order to simulate a loudspeaker with this utility, you need to create an empty project and enter appropriate description. You can add driver types via the tab of the same name, insert frequency and impedance responses, adjust scaling, delay, polarity and smoothing if needed. In addition, you have the option to outline rough targets for various kinds of responses, design the crossover, and insert filter blocks.

The application allows you to play with circuit topologies, parameter and component values until axial and power, as well as polar and impedance responses, and directivity index meets your targets. You are also able to save the project to a temporary file or crossover variant.
