VideoCapX is a Windows utility for designing webcam apps. There is a large collection of code templates for various programming languages such as C#, Delphi and Visual Basic. Moreover, the package includes a sample program that can be used as a basis for the custom application.

Brief description

With the help of this software you can access a USB webcam, TV tuner, DV camcorder, PCI capture card or any other recording device. It is possible to configure multiple inputs. An option to add a text or logo to the output video is included. Buttons for taking screenshots and recording video output to a file are available as well.

There is a motion detection module that allows users to automatically activate the recording in certain conditions. This functionality is helpful for organizing video surveillance systems.

Image quality settings

You are able to add a drop-down menu with multiple quality presets to the interface. Checkboxes for capturing audio and applying the deinterlace filter in real time are provided.

The program contains instruments for manually tuning the brightness, sharpness, gamma, white balance, hue, color saturation and other video properties. Users can configure flicker compensation to avoid visual problems.
