Video Server E is a Windows tool that allows users to watch video files on a phone or a tablet from Apple.

Configuring the server

The program lets you start a server on the PC and stream video in many formats from the computer to the Apple device.

First it is necessary to configure the network settings in the main window.

The address of the Video Server E is the IP of the computer. Users can create an account with a password that will be needed to enter the server. There is an option to scan the local network for the devices by clicking the Search button. It is possible to create an IP address list in the Address menu.

Additional setup

There are additional steps for networks with LAN connection and a local address. They can forward the IP and the port in the Forwarding menu accessible from the Administration interface on the router.

Here is an example:

IP of Video Server E: 1.1.1.1 (internal)
External IP: 100.100.100.100
Port of Video Server E: 1234

In the Forwarding interface of your router it should look like this:

Forwarding mode: TCP & UDP
IP: 1.1.1.1
Internal port: 1234
External port: 1234

After setting this up you will be able to access the program at the following IP address: 100.100.100.100:1234.

Unfortunately, this software does not work as intended and creating a server is impossible. In case you would like to stream videos on your mobile devices or tablets, you can download a popular program called VLC Media Player.
