VAIO Media plus is a Windows application that helps you install a patch for the high-end Sony audio receiver. There are bug fixes and functionality enhancements.

Setting up

This software is compatible only with the Sony STR-DA6400ES Multi Channel AV receiver. To download the patch it is necessary to enter the 7-digit device serial number on the official website. If there is a previous version installed on the computer users are instructed to delete it beforehand. Further installation instructions are available online.

After applying the update you are prompted to restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

About the utility

This official app allows users to quickly find media files such as the photos, music and videos in the home network. Moreover, there are tools for viewing the content. By linking other devices with VAIO Media plus users can stream movies to a compatible TV.

Included fixes

The patch resolves an issue with iTunes files being accidentally moved to the trash bin. Additionally, the possible loss of any Picture Motion Browser items is prevented. Playability of all high resolution AVC video content is improved.
