It is worth mentioning that the utility will not start without its hardware companion – VAG K Can diagnostic tool. To begin the work users are instructed to run the executable with administrator privileges.

The application is designed to be used only with VAG Group vehicles. For BMW cars there is another solution called BMW Scanner.

Main functionality

After starting the app you can choose the model of the vehicle and access the settings of any Electronic Control Unit. Diagnostics tools such as identification, adaptation and error correction are available. Several different protocols for connecting with the car are supported.

The main purpose of this tool is to let users change the odometer values and parameters. But there is also an option to activate the TV function for MMI based vehicles like Audi A8, A6 or Q7.

Managing new immobilizer systems is possible with VAG K Can Commander. Moreover, you can reset crash data in some airbag units.

All control units are accessible with this software. This can allow you to investigate and diagnose parts of the car untouchable by other programs.
