Ulead GIF Animator is a Windows utility for building animated GIF files from multiple static pictures. There are several drawing tools as well as instruments for inserting text, frames and other graphical elements into the layout. A large library of visual filters is available.

Editing options

With the help of this software users can import several images and combine them into a GIF animation. The first step is to specify the dimensions and select the background color. After that users are able to choose the static pictures on the hard drive and modify them.

Drawing instruments like the paintbrush and eraser are located in the main toolbar. There are buttons for inserting geometrical shapes, selecting custom areas on the image and adding text blocks. Video effects

There is a large library of various visual filters for configuring smooth transitions between the frames. Additionally, artistic effects like charcoal and color pen are included. Users are able to adjust the color hue and saturation as well as crop and stretch the picture to better fit the layout.

Several export options are provided. You can save the project as a GIF, PSD, UGA or UFO file or create an AVI video clip.

It is worth noting that Ulead GIF Animator is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The program cannot be started in Windows 7 or newer.
