UCanAccess is a Windows development utility that lets users connect Java applications to Microsoft Access databases. It is possible to manage internal transactions and maintain data integrity during complex operations.
Description
Using this tool you can establish a connection between any Java module and a remote or local database. There is support for the MDB and ACCDB file formats.
The driver is entirely written in Java, eliminating the need for external libraries and dependencies. Moreover, UCanAccess fully adheres to the Java Database Connectivity standard. Developers are able to interact with Access databases using familiar JDBC syntax and APIs.
Please note that the list of supported Microsoft Office versions includes only 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010. Modern editions are not compatible with this driver.
Data types
Users can work with boolean, integer, long, single, double, numeric, currency, counter, text, OLE, memo, GUID and datetime values. There are tools for manually managing data transactions.
With the help of this program you are able to quickly access and manipulate remote databases. UCanAccess does not require external ODBC bridges to function correctly.
