Typing Pal is a Windows application that contains instruments for helping to enhance your typing performance. It provides a wide variety of mini games, exercises and tests. Moreover, there are detailed statistics for monitoring personal progress. Please note that Typing Pal is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.

Training process

After starting the software users can choose the required keyboard layout and language. Additionally, it is possible to change the interface theme, fonts and sound effects. The difficulty level and exercise frequency are adjustable as well.

Similar to KP Typing Tutor, there is a wide variety of activities that cover all aspects of typing, including accuracy, speed, rhythm, punctuation and special characters. You are able to practice with texts from categories like literature, history, science, sports, etc. An option to import custom documents from the hard drive is provided.

Several mini games for improving typing skills in a fun way are available. For example, Meteorite requires users to type the words that fall from the sky before they hit the ground. The Safari game is based on entering the names of the animals that appear on the screen.

Testing

You can evaluate personal performance as well as get feedback and tips for improvement. There is an option to compare the results with other people.

Instruments for tracking the progress by viewing detailed charts are included. Users are able to evaluate their typing speed, accuracy and error rate.
