This application allows you to transform Trimble measurement files to RINEX format. Moreover, you have the ability to view the data from the navigation receiver.
Trimble Convert to RINEX
Trimble Convert to RINEX is a dedicated program for Windows designed to help users convert Trimble GNSS measurement files in DAT, T00, T01, T02, r17, r27 or CAP to RINEX formats. It also supports GPS L2C and GLONASS observations.
General notes
Receiver Independent Exchange format, abbreviated as RINEX, is a data exchange format for source data files of satellite navigation receivers. It allows users to post-process received data in order to perform more accurate calculations usually using other data unknown to the receiver. This is done by applying a more accurate model of atmospheric parameters at the time of measurement.
Navigation data
The output of the navigation receiver is its coordinates, speed, time and other characteristics. However, the calculation of these values is based on a series of measurements obtained from one or more satellite constellations. If you need to gather information from various Trimble devices and store it on your computer, you may use another utility called Trimble Data Transfer.
Advantages
Although the receivers calculate their position in real time, in many cases it is useful to store intermediate measurement data for later use. RINEX is a standard format that allows storing and transmitting intermediate measurements made by the device, as well as post-processing the received data by various applications from different manufacturers of receivers.
