Toshiba Recovery Media Creator is a Windows utility for making a backup copy of your operating system and writing it to the optical disc or USB storage device. This media can be later used for the Windows recovery operation. The program works only with Toshiba laptops.

Main purpose

With the help of this official utility users are able to create a recovery device for any Toshiba portable computer. If the operating system does not boot the aforementioned media can be utilized for Windows restoration.

Please note that Toshiba Recovery Media Creator fixes software problems by automatically replacing all corrupted system components with their backup copies. Successful recovery is highly unlikely in case your system hard disk or solid-state drive is malfunctioning. It is possible to save the data from such a device by connecting it to another PC and restoring the files with Pandora Recovery or other similar tool.

How to use

After starting the application you are able to select the destination media. Any blank DVD or USB drive larger than 4 Gb can be used. There is a checkbox for verifying the recorded information upon completion. The progress bar at the bottom indicates when the operation is finished.
