Toshiba Face Recognition is a program for Windows intended to improve the security of the Dynabook Portege series of laptops. The distribution contains the files needed for installing the face recognition software.

Setup process

If you have already deployed the utility on your computer, updating it may fix various issues, add new features, or expand existing ones. The package is specifically designed for machines running Windows 7. The developers do not recommend applying the release on other platforms.

The installation process is quite straightforward since the tool comes in the form of an executable file. By clicking on it you can launch the setup wizard. To complete the deployment, all you need to do is follow the provided instructions.

Face recognition

The application allows you to easily logon to Windows without entering a password. The sign in procedure is carried out using a face verification library. This database is dedicated to capturing and registering the faces of people who work on the PC.

Please note that the product was released for the Dynabook Portege line of laptops only. In case you own portable computers from such manufacturers as Dell or Lenovo, you may try similar solutions like Dell FastAccess Facial Recognition and Lenovo VeriFace respectively.
