Tor is a Windows application for rerouting all incoming and outgoing traffic through a series of remote servers to hide your location and identity. Advanced connection settings are available.

Configuration

This software is based on the Mozilla Firefox web browser. Users can change standard parameters like the default starting page, language and visual appearance.

The Settings menu contains the Connection tab with advanced network options. You are able to configure bridges for rerouting the traffic. Several built-in options are available. Moreover, it is possible to generate a new custom bridge in case of technical problems.

How it works

After tuning all required parameters users can connect to the Tor network for hiding the real IP address. There are special .onion servers that are accessible only through this browser.

All personal information such as the location, identity, installed software products, etc. is masked automatically. You are able to visit any website completely anonymously. Advanced firewall and proxy settings can be adjusted.
