Overview
This software requires Adobe Air for the correct functioning of all features. The main interface mimics the classic The New York Times page layout. New articles and stories are downloaded automatically throughout the day as they are published on the official website. Users can browse previous editions of the newspaper up to seven days back.
Please note that Times Reader is an obsolete program and no longer supported by the developer. Main functionality is broken.
Additional capabilities
There is a section for solving weekly crossword puzzles with hints and solutions available if you get stuck.
Users can listen to audio versions of most articles read by professional narrators. The embedded media player is intended for watching related video clips in fullscreen or windowed mode.
It is possible to share articles with other people via email or popular social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
