Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition is a Windows security solution for corporate environments. It is possible to install the program on remote machines over the network. Please note that this antivirus is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. It cannot be set up on modern 64-bit operating systems.

What it does

The application can find and remove several common types of viruses, trojans, spyware programs and other malicious files. Additionally, it is possible to disable rootkits, protect the master boot record and prevent memory-specific attacks. Macro viruses that infect Microsoft Word documents are detectable as well.

Unauthorized utilities that allow remote access to the desktop can be blocked. There are instruments for disabling third-party tracking and adware apps.

Scan parameters

Users can schedule regular automatic checks to keep the system protected at all times. During the scan operation the hard drive boot sector and other sensitive areas are searched to find potentially dangerous files and processes. Detected threats are placed in a separate quarantine zone to prevent infection spread.
