Stickies is a program for Windows intended to serve as a computerized version of Post-It notes. Thanks to this intuitive application, users are able to set reminders for certain events and organize notes with color-coded tags.

General notes

Once you install the software, you get a sample note on your desktop. You can replace the text with a custom one, as you see fit. It is also possible to configure the font type and size, the letter case and formatting, as well as the alignment and spacing.

Alternatively, you have the ability to open an existing image or take a screenshot of a select area of your screen. The tool allows you to edit pictures using different effects, such as mirror, flip, rotate, negative, blur, jitter or border. In addition, you are able to enhance the result by adding arrows, drawing, shapes or numbers.

Advanced customization

Besides the aforementioned modifications, you have the option to change the colors used for each sticky note. You can also assign them appropriate titles, set them on top of all the other windows or tweak the opacity values. The utility features support for tags and you may choose to attach a note to an active window. If you want to work on a bigger scale, you may use another program called Miro.
